  The European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (ECPT) paid an "ad hoc" visit to the United Kingdom in February 2002 to check on the treatment of detainees held under the Anti-Terrorism,Crime and Security (2001) Act. The ECPT inspected the conditions under which the detainees were held.
  
  Their report is mainly positive. The UK Government has considered the report and has made a comprehensive response to it.
