TAKE UP A PERSONAL CASE

The Human Rights Unit's job is to help the Government develop and carry out its Human Rights policy and legislation. Unfortunately we cannot deal with personal cases.

If your problem has arisen as a result of some action by the Department for Constitutional Affairs please see details of  the main complaints procedures available on this site.

Otherwise, you should consider contacting a solicitor or local advice bureau - your local library should be able to help with names and addresses of those in your area. They will be able to go into your case in detail, and advise you about any avenues of appeal, complaint or redress which may be open to you.

The Human Rights Unit cannot take up personal cases.
